Harley Davidson (1903 - present)
Harley Davidson (HD) is an American motorcycle brand of the two surviving (which is Victory) which is legendary and is able to survive to produce until now. HD name is taken from the surname of William S. Harley and Arthur Davidson who work together to build the motor. Harley-Davidson Motor Company was established on 17 September by the four founders of Harley Davidson brothers and sisters (four shares). HD is headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Initially, in 1901 William S. Harley (let's call it a Harley), who was only 21 years designing small engines 116 cc and 102 cc (blueprint). The machine is designed for a regular bicycle. From that year until 1903, Harley Davidson together (Arthur Davidson) work together to build a motorcycle in a machine shop in north Milwaukee belonging to their school friend, Henry Melk. The first plant is proudly named "Harley Davidson Motor Co." on the wooden door.
Harley Davidson has become a symbol for the king of the road and the elements macho or virility. History HD began in 1901. Two friends of William 'Bill' Harley and Arthur Davidson who are friends since the boy until both worked in a bicycle factory in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In this bicycle factory Harley became a draftsman, while Davidson became a designer pattern. Both have an idea: what if the wind-powered bike - it is referred to as the train winds - it could be replaced by the engine power.

Once tested, the first HD engine proved too weak, only able to move the bike on a flat road with a speed of 25 mph. Once the road is slightly uphill, the engine should be assisted by the rider pedaling leg. In addition, the bike was not able to withstand the power of the engine, so that the front wheel fork immediately broken.
Back to the drawing board, the Bill and the Davidson brothers raise the engine fan diameter is more than doubled.
